Birds often collide with windows because they cannot perceive glass as a barrier. Windows can reflect the sky, trees, and surrounding vegetation, creating an illusion of open space that birds attempt to fly through. Additionally, transparent windows can present a clear view of indoor plants or light sources, attracting birds inside.

Our inaugural season was nothing short of a dream come true. Sleeping Bear Wildlife Fund has been in the works for several years now, and to finally be able to open our doors to serve wildlife in need and the community was extremely rewarding.
