Why Birds Can't See Windows and what to do about it
Birds often collide with windows because they cannot perceive glass as a barrier. Windows can reflect the sky, trees, and surrounding vegetation, creating an illusion of open space that birds attempt to fly through. Additionally, transparent windows can present a clear view of indoor plants or light sources, attracting birds inside.
Our 2022/2023 Impact Report
We are excited to present our first report documenting the impact we have had in the region for our first two years. 2022 was all about setting up our non-profit and conducting some additional outreach. 2023 was our first season in operation and we could not be more excited about the work we were able to do.
Gearing up for more impact
Our inaugural season was nothing short of a dream come true. Sleeping Bear Wildlife Fund has been in the works for several years now, and to finally be able to open our doors to serve wildlife in need and the community was extremely rewarding.
